The Engine
To handle the complex reality of shared money, the ledger relies on three fundamental structures. These core forms define exactly how funds move and act as the blueprint for your shared tabs.
Split
The standard shared expense. One person covers the upfront cost and the system tracks exactly what the group owes them.
Settlement
The reverse of a split. Triggered during asset buy-ins or sales, it maps how one person distributes money back to the group.
Contract
The master blueprint. It acts as a binder for your activities and holds the exact rules for recurring schedules and depreciation rates.

Instances automatically gets generated based on set frequency.
Member Rotation
Add or withdraw members at any time. The app calculates proportional adjustments for the remaining shares while giving you total control over the final numbers.
Depreciating
Shared Assets
A dynamic agreement that tracks the changing book value of your long term purchases.
Create Activity
Agree on a depreciation rate upfront and log the purchase. This sets the rules for the asset, allowing the app to suggest a fair price whenever someone needs to join or leave the group early.
Member Rotation
When mates buy in or withdraw early, the app uses the current book value to suggest a fair settlement price. You can use the math provided or adjust the final amounts together.
Record Disposal
Whether the item is sold for cash or simply thrown away, log the final value to close out the asset.
Final Payout
If the item is sold, the system instantly calculates the exact payout owed to each person based on their active share percentage.

Smart Settlement (Currency Consolidation) requires an active Split+ subscription for use across all groups, or a Group Boost for use within a specific group. Exchange rates are approximate and based on market rates at the time of payment recording.
Only the payer or activity creator has the authority to edit sensitive data, including total amounts, member shares, recurring schedules, or deleting the activity entirely.
Smart Categories are based on the activity title. If a title is ambiguous or unrecognised, no category will be auto-selected.
The duration of a Group Boost is based on the Split+ subscription of the boosting user. It will remain active until revoked, transferred, or the underlying subscription ends.
